| Belle Vue: Peter Craven Memorial Trophy BRITISH speedway champion Chris Harris pipped former Belle Vue favourites, Simon Stead and Joe Screen, to win the Peter Craven Memorial Trophy at Kirkmanshulme Lane last night. Harris was disqualified from the second of his five heats for causing the race the be stopped but won his other four rides in brilliant style to finish on 12 points with Stead and Screen. Then he stormed to victory in an exciting run-off for the title after exchanging places with Stead. Harris and Stead had raced back from Denmark for the meeting, having been delayed by the World Cup final being put back from Saturday to Sunday afternoon. | World Superbikes: Silverstone UK Yamaha Sterilgarda man Cal Crutchlow made it two in a row at Silverstone on Sunday, delivering a double win at his home race. The British rider ended a flawless weekend's riding with a masterful display of race craft. A good start from pole position in race one saw him quickly into second behind Johnny Rea. Crutchlow then played the waiting game, comfortably following the Honda rider just 0.1 seconds behind until mid race before taking the lead. He surrendered briefly to Rea but then re-took quickly and pulled away to build a 1.6 second lead as he crossed the line to claim his maiden win of the championship. | BSB: ADVANTAGE HILL BUT BROOKES CLOSING IN MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship ROUND 8 - BRANDS Tommy Hill takes a slender two points advantage over Josh Brookes into the triple race eighth round of the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship at Brands Hatch with the former two times winner of the crown Ryuichi Kiyonari in close contention. These races come at a crucial time of the campaign with all of the riders focussed on scoring strong points in their efforts to be in the top six in the overall standings after the following round at Cadwell Park and while the leading trio are seemingly well placed to progress to the shoot-out for the title, they cannot afford any slips. | Ian Hutchinson triumphs in Isle of Man TT opener Yorkshire rider Ian Hutchinson clinched victory in the opening race at this year's Isle of Man TT as he won Saturday's Superbike event. The Padgett's Honda rider finished 33 seconds ahead of Michael Dunlop after the six laps with Cameron Donald a further 10 seconds back in third. Guy Martin, who was docked 30 seconds for a pit-lane infringement, was fourth with Adrian Archibald in fifth. .Read more

| MotoGP:Monster Energy Grand Prix de France Jorge Lorenzo's lead at the top of the FIM MotoGP World Championship stretched to nine points after the Spaniard won the third round at Le Mans, his second victory of the season, triumphing in the Monster Energy Grand Prix de France ahead of Valentino Rossi and Andrea Dovizioso.
